I am glad to be back after a year and a half with Cutting the Strings.
It's been a busy year and a half, but I am glad that I have been able to do a bunch of personal, financial, and spiritual work. I've moved jobs and moved homes, but I am still rooted using words to enlighten!
This episode talks about fems.
(If you're not in the know: "Fem" is a versatile abbreviation with several meanings, most commonly female or feminine. It can also be a colloquial term for a feminine or effeminate person. Additionally, "fem" can be a short form of "femme," particularly in LGBTQ+ contexts, referring to a feminine queer person)
During this episode, I will share my thoughts as a femme-presenting Black gay man on my experiences and offer my opinions on some common behaviors I observe or arguments that arise in the discourse. Please note that my frame of reference is my own; the opinions expressed here are from my perspective.
