It is more than a little likely that George Lucas read JRR Tolkien's masterpiece The Lord of the Rings as he was developing his space opera. It would seem that his successor Dave Filoni is a massive fan of Middle Earth, and the influences of that fantasy world are all over the latest Star Wars series, Ahsoka! Join with me as I point out a few similarities I noticed between the two tales.
