Following the cancellation of Star Trek: The Original Series, fans of the franchise were given the chance to follow the further adventures of Captain Kirk and company in the aptly named Star Trek: The Animated Series. It is the general consensus that animation in the 1970's was downright awful. This "problem" has proven a hinderance for us at Random Trek, but we are very glad that the animation of the modern Trek shows is head and shoulders above what it was 50 years ago.
