Introduced in 1991's Heir to the Empire, the Ysalamiri are lizard-like creatures that can create "bubbles" in which the Force is suppressed to the degree that a Jedi's powers are useless. At least, that's how it went until the Canon "reboot" of 2014. These creatures have since been reintroduced to the official continuity, though only to a very limited degree.
