All-Star Superman is widely considered one of the greatest superman comics of all time, if not just one of the best of any character. This run, somehow, gives the readers a more perfect version of the character while at the same time giving him depth and realisim. Although he is an alien, he's more human than most that walk the earth. This comic defines a lot of rules in Superman's relationship with Lois, his rivalry with Lex, and his limitations as a hero. In true Grant Morrison fashion, the story is a bit all over the place and gets weird but it's the Superman all of us really need when we see the symbol.
