Narjis Sheikh is a Shia Muslim, Pakistani American women's fiction and romance writer who was raised at the cultural crossroads of Kenya, Riyadh, and Punjab in the San Francisco Bay Area. Currently based in Toronto, Ontario, Narjis is the founder and executive director of Muslim Literary Festival (MLF), a platform dedicated to celebrating and amplifying Muslim voices in literature and the arts.

Sabreen El Awad is a s Sudanese-Canadian screenwriter, podcast host of “The lemon Narrative with Sabreen” and the Director of Marketing for Muslim Literary Festival (MLF 2024). 

Through her travels Sabreen was always bothered by how visual identities are judged. She sensed stories hidden within the people she met, hence Sabreen started a treasure hunt through her writing and her podcast. Sabreen calls it a treasure hunt because she came across beautiful stories finding within each person she talks to.
