It's #motivationmonday and here are 7 tips for healing.
1) Acknowledge the trauma that hurt you.
2) Accept the importance of self-care.
3) Ask for help! It's not a sign of weakness and you are not bothering anyone.
4) Take time for yourself everyday! Even if it's for as little as 5 minutes.
5) Find a healing modality that works for you!
6) Know that's it's okay to feel love, grief, anger, or more. Allow yourself time to process those.
7) It's okay if you have a set back on your healing journey! Pick up where you left off when you recognize this. Consider having an accountability partner or joining a support group to keep that momentum going. If you just can't seem to move forward or are having suicidal thoughts please seek out a professional or contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Line for help. #healingjourney #traumahealing #trauma #domesticabuse #domesticviolenceawareness
Someone out there needs to know they are not alone and that they can survive. Perhaps you are a parent or friend of someone trapped in an abusive relationship and need to know how to help. My goal is to share awareness, offer empowerment, and educate others about emotional traumas and domestic abuse. Here I will share my story and also stories of courage and healing from Survivors, Coaches, to Therapists/Counselors.
