My special guest, Author May Saengpraseuth Alirad has been a Warrior for advocacy and sharing her story about surviving sexual assault, and she will share a different story of experiencing heartbreak.
On Friday, February 11, 2022, May had her eight-week ultrasound and was told her baby didn't have a heartbeat. After enduring a traumatic 48-hour labor and delivery in the toilet, she went to work the next day. When May requested bereavement days from my employer, she was denied. May will talk about her journey from the greatest pain of her life into her passion for women empowerment and advocacy.
