Today is #selflovechallenge9 and honestly, when I started my self-care/self-love journey the image below is how I looked. At the beginning of my journey, I whined, hesitated, and grumbled as I did my soul work. I couldn't help but think what was the point?! ๐คจ
My world was crumbling around me and I felt like crap and way too woo-woo for me. But, once I began to regularly practice self-care I started to feel so much better! I felt lighter and actually started to look forward to doing it. It was a slow practice to start. I had to give myself grace on tough days and remember to take baby steps! ๐
I know it may feel as though you are knee-deep in ๐ฉ right now but finding that "thing" that helps you begin to find yourself again is so helpful not just at this moment but as you start re-connecting with old relationships and forging new relationships. Loving that person staring back in the mirror can help you recognize that you are worthy of being loved, respected, and cherished. ๐ฅฐ
So, for today's challenge write out things that make you heart sing and if you haven't done them in awhile or maybe you never tried to (no judgment) ask yourself what's stopping you? Is there something you can do easily today on that list? Or can you start to plan for the future?
