During this podcast, I interviewed former OHL (Ontario Hockey League) defensemen Zach Wilkie. Zach spent time with both the Niagara Icedogs and Sudbury Wolves during his junior hockey career, as well as one year in the OJHL (Ontario Junior Hockey League) with the Aurora Tigers. He has since enrolled at Laurentian University, and plays for the Men’s Varsity Hockey Team. Being a fellow sport psychology student, Zach has both knowledge in both the practical and theoretical side of the “mental game”. He shares his experiences of moving to Canada at a young age to play hockey, the effects of being traded and waived, as well as how he manages the dual student-athlete relationship.
