Description

On this episode, I am thrilled to be joined by Mads Søgaard (2:43)! Mads is an Ottawa Senators prospect, being drafted 37th overall by the Sens in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Reining from Denmark, Mads has had to make many sacrifices to have a shot at achieving his NHL dreams.
Mads shares his story of choosing to play in North America at a young age to pursue hockey, originally in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) with the Austin Bruins and later joining the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League (WHL). On top of this, myself and Mads chat about his rollercoaster of a World Juniors experience with Team Denmark, how he utilizes mental training at perform at his best, as well as how to manage the often challenging partnership between goaltending tandems.
