Welcome to Episode 5 of the Makin Moves with Matt Podcast. Today we talk to KaiLi, a 29-year old from Kansas City who has lived in two countries on two different continents with her loyal dog, Pebbles. In 2019, KaiLi had grown sick of the US always working and never enjoying life, so that year she got her TEFL certification and got a job teaching in Spain. She brought Pebbles and two bags with her and moved across the pond only to find COVID hitting her in the face 3 months later. KaiLi decided to wait out the pandemic there and continued to live in Spain even after COVID. She made lots of moves, made lots of friends, and even more memories. In 2021, KaiLi left for the US only for the country to remind her that she didn’t want to be there, so she picked Thailand for her next adventure with her dog, Pebbles. They are currently living in Bangkok and KaiLi is continuing to teach English while teaching people from around the world, exploring new places, and enjoying the culture of Asia. KaiLi and Pebbles plan on moving next year to South America to fulfill their lifelong dream of living in every continent for at least a year.
