Episode 18 features Pearl- a 20 year old girl from a coastal town in England who took a 10 month break to travel South east Asia and India! Pearl came out of college not knowing what she wanted to do…all she did know is that she had to leave her hometown. So Pearl saved up some cash and set off to Bali with her boyfriend. They saw the classic spots in South East Asia like Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia and had an absolute blast. But after 7 months of living like an expat, Pearl's travelling itch still wasn’t satisfied….thats when she knew she had to set off alone and enter a completely different country…India!
Luckily for Pearl, she had an estranged auntie who lived there, so she set off to Bangalore to pay a visit. Little did Pearl know how much she would come to love the country. So that’s how a quick two week pitstop turned into three months. Three of the best months of Pearl's life. Travelling alone, meeting others, having adventures (and disasters lol), seeing how different cultures lived, how it opened her eyes…India wasn’t like anywhere Pearl had travelled before, and for a first time solo traveller, Pearl REALLY threw herself in the deep end!
