Description

David Vetter is still known as "the boy in the bubble." He became known worldwide in the late twentieth century for living with a rare autoimmune disease that required him to live within artificial structures until his death at the age of twelve. Dr. Rev. Raymond J. Lawrence served as David's hospital chaplain for a short time, as well as wrote the introduction to Bursting the Bubble: The Tortured Life and Untimely Death of David Vetter. Dr. Raymond took the time to discuss with me his perspective of David's life within sterilized structures.
