My favorite motivational speaker, Jim Rohn, famously says, "Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune." I love that: self-education. Do you want to increase your learning potential? Here are my 5 ways to grow every day:
1) Learn While You Commute. Listen to educational audios and audiobooks while driving a car or riding a motorcycle to work or going places. 3 years of doing this are equivalent to 2 years of college study
2) Read Books. Reading actual books actually can increase your focus and attention
3) Teach Someone What You Know. Teaching others reinforces your own abilities, helps you look at the subject in different ways and inspires you to learn your subject inside and out
4) Practice, Practice, Practice. But remember Vince Lombardi's advice: "Only perfect practice makes perfect"
5) Listen and Be Alert with People and Things Around You. You can learn a great deal from the people and situations around you
