Description

Growing up Colleen never experienced death and how death always scared her. Death is already in our plan; we have already decided when it’s our time to go even before were born. Colleen sometimes has a hard time dealing with and accepting that our soul picks the things that we need lessons on because it’s so hard! It so hard when you hear about someone going through a tough time, or went through pain and wonder how can someone picked this to learn their lessons?

As a society, we need to talk about death about more of living our lives to the fullest, because death is going to happen regardless, we cannot change it! Colleen also talked about having to her put her dog Ketchup down. That was her first experience with death. We cannot just box ourselves up. We need to surround ourselves with people and love. It’s no way to live without having that.

Colleen also talks about the tragedy that happened on November 17, 2016. Weird to hear about your family’s tragedy in the news. She also mentions about stop reliving the past. There is nothing you can do. It will not help you. Learn from the past and move on. Getting stuck in the past, of the why and how is going to keep you stuck in this loop. Being stuck and grief and how Colleen feels that it hurts others but at the same time is saddening. Colleen just didn’t get stuck in it because she didn’t think about it for months. She had to move on to get through school and work. Also, mental illness care in this country needs to change. Who knows what would have happened if Lance got the help that he needed, but something has got to change with mental health in this country and around the world.
