After a successful career practicing Civil, Commercial and Family Law in the North East for over twelve years, Nicola retrained as a Mediator in 2010. Nicola is an accredited member of the Family Mediation Council and the Civil Mediation Council. She is also a Professional Practice Consultant (PPC) responsible for the training and supervision of other mediators.
She is an accredited Civil/Workplace mediation trainer and delivers mediation training all over the world.
In 2014 Nicola established Crowther Mediation, now the largest independent mediation practice in the North of England and the only UK independent mediation practice in Dubai.
She is passionate about mediation as alternative form of dispute resolution and this is evident in her work. Her wealth of experience and knowledge in this field is recognised internationally.
Nicola has won numerous awards for her work, including Civil Mediator of the year UK 2022. In 2018 Nicola was the only UK mediator appointed by the European Union to train mediators in Greece, facing financial crisis.
