Description

THE GUEST

Jordan Allen is a very successful multiple-time founder. In 2011, Jordan founded and scaled Stay Alfred, a next-generation hospitality platform, to over $100M in annual revenue, which served over 1M guests across 40 markets with a team of more than 300 people. After this, Jordan founded Doorsey, a platform that makes buying a home 100x easier. He sold it this year to Auction.io. While Jordan has had a lot of business success, my favorite achievement is that he took investment from Adam Neumann, which means that Jordan sold the best salesperson alive.

THE QUESTIONS

[6:41] The scale of my startup is crushing me: After successfully scaling their startup, a founder is majorly struggling with the weight and momentum of the startup they created, struggling even to take a single day off sick. We dive into what kind of process and team you need to scale.

[23:47] What’s harder? 0 to 1? Or 1 to 1000? We break down both the inception and scale stages of a startup and work out which stage really is the hardest.

THE SHOW

DO AS I SAY is an advice show about the real problems in startups.
