Description

Get ready to storm Area 51 with us as we dissect Groom Lake, the 2002 sci-fi romp that proves William Shatner's acting chops are out of this world. In this episode, we follow Kate, a woman battling terminal (?) lupus, and her husband Andy, as they find themselves entangled in a web of extraterrestrial intrigue.

Andy, piloting his trusty Suzuki Samurai, takes Kate on a 4-wheeling adventure through the desert. But when he attempts to drive up a mesa, he ends up rolling the vehicle over, proving that off-roading isn't for the faint of heart (or a Suzuki).

Enter Hester, the DC suit guy who's here to shut down the program and rain on everyone's alien parade. But even he can't stop the madness that ensues when Kate and Andy cross paths with a local farmer who claims aliens are ripping out his cows' genitalia (moo-ve over, crop circles).

The dynamic duo also encounters Dietz, a tow truck driver with a penchant for alien wrangling and keeping rattlesnakes in cages (as one does). In a scene straight out of an intergalactic Fast and Furious, Dietz performs a jaw-dropping tow truck hook pit maneuver that would make Dominic Toretto proud.

But the excitement doesn't stop there. When a random guy gets electrocuted by the base's fence, Dick Van Patten's character utters the iconic line: "The intruder has been detained." At least Andy was able to get in unscathed.

Throw in appearances by Captain Morgan, Dr. Meatloaf, and the mysterious Purple Guy (Adam), and you've got a recipe for a Dumpsterpiece that's sure to abduct your funny bone.

So grab your night vision goggles, practice your best X-Files theme whistle, and join us as we unravel the mysteries of Groom Lake. Just remember, the truth is out there... and it might just be hiding in a top-secret military base in the middle of the Nevada desert.
