In this episode, we’re focusing on one of the most significant gatherings for municipal leaders in Manitoba—the AMM Fall Convention. Every November, over 800 delegates from across the province come together for this annual general meeting of the Association of Manitoba Municipalities.
This year, from November 25 to 27, 2024, the convention will host elections for the AMM's Executive Committee, including the positions of President and two Vice-Presidents, each serving a two-year term.
One of the candidates running for Vice President of the Manitoba Municipal Association is Scott Phillips, Councillor for the RM of Sifton. We had the opportunity to speak with Kathy about her candidacy, her vision for the role, and what she hopes to bring to Manitoba's municipalities if elected.
