America was built on the idea of Manifest Destiny — the notion of expanding one’s territory. But I wonder, what are the things of God that God would have us to desire more of? What does God want us to pursue with faithfulness and fidelity? Just imagine a world where manifest destiny meant acquiring -- not land or money, but more wisdom, more compassion, more faithfulness. Enlarge our territory Lord -- according to the destiny you would have us to manifest for our selves and the world.
