Law #9 prohibits false witness. There is a whole family of lies we often fall prey to in our daily lives. If truth be told, we go forth from the womb speaking lies. You don't have to teach a child what to do when he wants to avoid trouble. Like sparks fly upward, he will boldly declare his deceit, requiring no instruction or example. Have we continued in this pattern to some degree? Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life." Let's examine our hearts for any corrupt communication, and seek cleansing and freedom from the destruction of lies.
