#NursePolicy Ep. 3 hosted by Sola Oyewuwo, BSN, RN
Despite decades of experience, and a near impeccable track record related to patient outcomes, APRNs still do not have full practice authority in Texas. APRNs can practice to the full extent of their education and training only when they contract with a physician to “supervise” their practice. TNA sponsors legislation every session to extend full practice authority for all four APRN roles.
(This previously-recorded audio discusses legislation that unfortunately did not pass in the 2019 Texas Legislative Session. TNA will continue to support APRN full practice authority in future legislation.)
