Series: A Little Bitty Christmas
Scripture: Luke 2:4-7, 25-38
In a world that glorifies bigness, greatness, appearance, power and influence the Christmas story not only stands in stark contrast but is also a direct repudiation that bigger is better. If the Lord of the universe can be born as a little bitty baby in a little bitty town to a little bitty mom and a little bitty dad and sleep in a little bitty feed box, then it's not only "alright to be little bitty," it is good to be little bitty.
This Christmas preaching series is partly inspired by Alan Jackson's song "Little Bitty." You can listen to it here.
This message was originally preached at Chester United Methodist Church on 12/24/23. It is substantially similar to "A Little Bitty Baby - New Beginnings UMC" and "A Little Bitty Baby - Rock Springs UMC."
