Series: The Way of the Cross
Scripture: John 15:9-18, Daniel 6:1-4
Jesus said, "I am the way..." and "If anyone would come after me they must deny themselves, take up their cross and follow me." During the season of Lent we will be exploring the reality that if Jesus is the Way and he has called us to take up our crosses and follow him, then for us the Way of Jesus is not the way of glorious triumph or conquest. Rather it is the way of humility and service: it is the Way of the Cross.
This sermon was originally preached to Chester UMC on 3/30/25. It is substantially similar to "Laying Down Your LIfe at School & Work (Rock Springs UMC)." This week at New Beginnings UMC we had our first Community Lunch worship. It was a wonder time of worship and community, but we did not (and will not) record those worship times.
