In the latest KEDT Newscast, Cathy covers the Corpus Christi Police Department's inquiry into a fatal car accident. A man collided with a palm tree in the 5100 block of Weber Road last Saturday. Law enforcement responded to the scene close to the Carisma Car Wash around 11:00 p.m. Tragically, the driver was pronounced dead at the accident site. In other news, U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee, a Democrat from Houston, filed for reelection following her loss in the Houston mayoral runoff on Saturday.
