We talk about various cults, the social stigma they have, the fears and misunderstanding that often surrounds them, the varying perspectives around indoctrination and rituals, and why I decided to call the podcast 'A Cult of Misfits'.
We recorded this on Easter Sunday which naturally lead to a conversation about (our lord and savior) Jesus Christ. We talked about the concept of Jesus dying for our sins, the hidden meanings in the film The Passion of the Christ, what Christ energy is, what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus, whether or not Jesus actually existed or was simply a composite story taken from earlier religions, and we discuss the original Christian texts that were intentionally left out of the Bible.
We also talk about narcissism, snake/serpent symbology, Hermes and his caduceus, and learning to be more vulnerable as a part of the healing process. Check it out!
