In this episode, Jamie Gale welcomes Mia Hicks, experienced educator and PhD student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying bilingual education, to discuss the importance of playful movement in learning. Mia and Jamie explore how movement and play are integral to children's emotional and academic development and ways educators can incorporate playful movement into classrooms. Mia explains the benefits of play on literacy and shares insights from her research.
