Diabetes is a chronic disease responsible for over 500 million deaths globally every year. World Diabetes Day is celebrated on 14th November every year to create awareness about the disease, its causes, prevention and treatment.
This year's theme: Breaking barriers, bridging the gap underpins International Diabetes Federation's commitment to reduce the risk of diabetes and ensure that all people diagnosed with diabetes have access to equitable, comprehensive, affordable, and quality treatment and care.
