Acomi and Turk182 break from the normal 1980s B-movie and cast their unforgiving Sauron-like eye of humor at something serious. Gridiron Gang is based on the true story of the Kilpatrick Mustangs, a high school football team from the 1990s, composed of juvenile detainees of the Kilpatrick Detention Center in Los Angeles.
Wanting to instill discipline and responsibility in the gang and drug addicted, Los Angeles urban youth, The Rock enlists Xzibit to help pimp his football team, and make them contenders. But, can football be the cure to the allure of the streets?
Join Acomi and Turk as they run a Statue of Liberty play through Lifetime Movie derived drama, a formulaic plot, and character tropes. If you want to stay off the streets and turn your life around, then you need football. You need to become a Gridiron Gang (2006)!
Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. All jokes and comments are improvised. NO PREPARED JOKES OR COMMENTS!
During recording, the movies are watched at a low volume and with the subtitles on. Viewers may want to turn subtitles on as well to enhance the viewing experience.
