Acomi and Turk182 take of their VR goggles and breathe a sigh of relief that the real world is nothing like the one depicted in the movie Ready Player One.
Where the world virtual reality world of the Oasis as shown in the Ready Player One movie isn't much different than the version described in the novel, everything else is real world garbage. The story, characters, and events have been drastically altered from the novel to the point that they're unrecognizable on the big screen. Everything that made Ernest Cline's book amazing is stripped to a soulless display of special effects and celluloid thin characters.
Join Acomi and Turk for a joyless venture into a visual translation of something that had the potential to be an indescribable spectacle of a VR world built on the love of the 1980s. But, turned into a frustrating experience of heartbreak and disappointment. This is Ready Player One the movie.
Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies
that either one, or both, have never seen. All jokes and comments are improvised. NO PREPARED JOKES OR COMMENTS!
During recording, the movies are watched at a low volume and with the subtitles on. Viewers may want to turn subtitles on as well to enhance the viewing experience.
So, cue up the audio, ready the movie, and hit play when we say so.
