Acomi and Turk182 grab their notebooks, pencils, and chocolate milk as they watch The Children (1980). What could have been a great movie to present the horrors of nuclear power and promote sex education, is instead a pasty faced, black fingernail, head scratcher.
After radioactive waste leaks from a nuclear power plant, a handful of children in a small town are turned into... zombies? ...undead? ...reanimated? They're turned into something that makes them want to kill all adults, starting with their own families. In the end, it's up to the town sheriff and one of the children's father, wielding a machete and a katana to end the threat of The Children, and save the town. Which now consist of just them.
Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. All jokes and comments are improvised. NO PREPARED JOKES OR COMMENTS!
During recording, the movies are watched at a low volume and with the subtitles on. Viewers may want to turn subtitles on as well to enhance the viewing experience.
So, cue up the audio, ready the movie, and hit play when we say so.
