Part 2.

The 80s were a magical time that we look back on with fondness and triple rose-colored glasses. So many great things: The rise and appropriate recession of punk music. Reaganomics and trickle down theory. Crack cocaine epidemic. Air Jordans. The looming threat of nuclear war. Fall of the Berlin Wall. Perestroika. Hair Metal. End of apartheid. Live Aid. Farm Aid. And, so much more.

Acomi and Turk182 delve into one of the strangest phenomenon to appear during that time. Satanic Panic. A wave of unrealistic and unprovoked hysteria that washed across the US. Belief that Satan and his minions were in every aspect of America; sometimes hiding in plain sight. Rock music. Video games. Household products. And, preschools?

Turk recounts various instance of Satanic Panic, and focuses particularly on the McMartin preschool trial. When a parent, with a history of mental instability, accuses a caregiver at the McMartin preschool of child abuse and satanic rituals, the hysteria takes over and soon the entire staff is arrested. The accusation include murder, flushing children down toilets, hot air balloon rides, flying under one's own power, secret underground tunnels, animal sacrifices, and day trips to carwashes and airports. And, as fantastical as some of the allegations may seem, none were discounted.

Help Acomi and Turk drive out these foul demons and save the souls of the American public.
