Facts Morning! DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) probe was launched on November 24, 2021 at one of the minor-planet moons of the asteroid Didymos. The objective was to hit the asteroid in such a way to divert its course. The probe struck the minor-planet moon Dimorphos on September 26, 2022, and was declared a success on October 11, 2022.
