"Covenant" and "Promise" are often interchangeable. But what's different about a covenant is that is is personal and relational. The thread of God's covenants with humans and all of creation is, perhaps, the single most important thing that holds Christian scripture together. In Lent, we turn towards these stories of God's faithfulness.
