In his message called the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus describes life in God’s Kingdom. He continues to push against religion and move everything into the category of relationship when it comes to God, who He teaches us to see as our Father.
He takes religious acts and turns them upside down. First and foremost, our priority needs to be to seek the Kingdom of God first in our life. Giving to the poor, fasting, prayer, and our finances are all seen in the context of a Heavenly Father who knows what we do and rewards us accordingly.
As we trust Him more, we will experience more of His Kingdom coming to earth as it is in heaven.
