Growth is proof of life. Growth is the key to depth and fullness. When it comes to spiritual things, our depth in any experience is a function of our growth in that experience. Bringing this home to the subject of favour, it is not enough to experience favour at one time or the other. There is a place for growing in favor. In Luke 2:52, the bible says “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man”. Jesus not only grew in favour with God.He grew in favour with men. So if Jesus had to grow in favor, who are we to think that we can be excluded from the need to grow in favour with men.
