Faith is so critical in the life of a believer. In Hebrews 11:6, the bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God. In Romans 1:17, the bible tells us that the righteous will live by faith. Faith must be at the core of any genuine Christian life. Fatih, however, is a phenomenon that must have its root in the word. In other words, any form of faith that has no Word of God as its basis is fake. Romans 10:17 clearly tells us that faith comes from the Word of God.

It has to be based on what God has said, either via His written Word (which is the scripture) or via his spoken word to you.
