“I believe that's kind of where we've gotten to this idea of risk and failure are such a negative thing, but unfortunately you have to take risks to grow.
The idea of overcoming something or having something get in your way and you're able to work through that, just gives us that feedback I think specifically as men to teach us how to continue to build ourselves. So I think that's a big piece of it is, the cheap dopamine and the excessive comfort, and you call it what you want, whether it's intentional or unintentional. We're sort of bombarded with this stuff all day. Crappy food, pornography, Netflix, you name it, you can find it anywhere. It’s instant gratification. And I think it's easier for people to choose instant gratification over and over again than to delay it and have to continue to delay it for those long-term results that are gonna reward them a whole lot more.”
