Episode summary to comeWelcome to episode 102 which comes off the back of my time in Waco, Texas for the Ironman weekend!
I personally competed in the 70.3 event which encompassed a swim (1.2mile / 1.9km) ride (56mile / 90km) and run (13.1mile / 21.1km) along with many of the other guests on this episode.
On Thursday the 13th of October I travelled a total of 33 hours from Melbourne, Australia to the outskirts of Waco Texas to a small town called Valley Mills to compete in the Waco Ironman weekend. I met several of the other competitors there over the weekend, in particular Boyd Myers and Daniel Taylor - as they were guests on a previous episode of the podcast.
I arrived in to Waco ready for weekend that would see the culmination of months of hard work, and upon leaving I have made lifelong friends, memories that will never leave me, and a desire to continue in this incredible sport that has given me so much already.
Below are timestamps with the mark for when each guest appears in the episode, should you wish to jump forward or back.
Thanks again to all of the guests - this one was special!
And thank you for listening. I hope you enjoy.
