"I don't need need University. I don't need my school exams. I signed a record company, I'm gonna go do what I want, I'm gonna go party. So I think irrelevant of anything happening with my family or with my mum, there was some sort of crash coming at some point. Because I hadn't grounded myself very well and I was immersed in all of the drugs and alcohol. But then to have also the loss of my mother happen at exactly the same time as that band ending as well. It was like, 'wow' start again. Like, who am I? What am I doing with my life? What do I want to do?”
Episode #34 of The Hope Initiative with Charlie Thorpe

In this raw conversation, Charlie shares her journey from a young girl listening to Van Morrison with her mum and strumming away on guitar with her Dad, to touring the world and breaking up a band with her best friend, to a lengthy sabbatical on the coast of Australia to where she is now.
Knowing what she wants in life with it all ahead of her.
