“And that's where there's a difference of culture too. I think in our culture, ego can be a good thing too. Ego inspires people. It pushes them along. It gives them perhaps determination and perseverance , but I think we do have a lot more ego in our culture when it comes to relationships, compared to others in different cultures. In Argentina, no one has any shame in saying or admitting love for another person, even if it doesn't go anywhere. Even if it's just an admiration. Whereas in our culture, I think a lot of people don't want rejection, there's a fear of rejection and feeling stupid. Think of how many people miss opportunities of developing a relationship or even a friendship with someone by feeling a bit silly or not wanting to appear foolish. It's a very different culture. I think I like that culture more.”
