In a small town in Arkansas in 2005, local detectives found themselves in new territory. Nona Dirksmeyer was a 19 year old college student and aspiring Miss Arkansas. One cool December afternoon, her boyfriend found her lifeless body stabbed and bludgeoned to death on her living room floor. Police soon brought him in for questioning, and it wasn't long before he was charged with her murder. Ultimately, he was not convicted. But what about the felon that had a history of assault on women...who happened to be her neighbor? What about the condom wrapper or the bottle of carpet cleaner?
The murder investigation uncovered many other secrets. What had her deceased father done when she was a child? Or for what possible reason would her step father erase the data on her phone?
