Season 2: Episode 18
Lighter fluid was poured down her throat and she was set aflame.
In the small town of Courtland, Mississippi, in 2014, an incredible tragedy occurred. Firefighters arrived to a scene they couldn't be more unfamiliar with. Something described as a "zombie" was walking in their direction.
The reality was that 18 year old Jessica Chambers had been burned alive, the only part of her body not on fire being the bottoms of her feet. Before her death, she managed to say a name...but was that in fact the name of her murderer?
Join Andrea Up Late on Nightshift to talk about this case. There have been no convictions in her murder, but controversial cell phone data, and concrete video footage, tell quite a story.
Oh, and is her death related to the tortuous murder of a Taiwanese exchange student that occurred one year later?
