We are still in Romans 8 and it has been so good!
Here's a snippet:
"Don’t be surprised by suffering! Suffering is a certainty in the Christian life! (not always physical suffering, could be emotional suffering or spiritual suffering)
Nothing in this passage or the rest of the Bible assumes that if you are God’s child, you can avoid these realities. In fact, it says the opposite.
Jesus told his disciples, In this world you will have trouble, you will have tribulation, but take heart for I have overcome this world.
It’s only through God special intervention on behalf of believers that anything works out for good. This passage makes it clear that God is the one who is working all things for good in a world where it going the opposite direction. It is only through a special act of grace toward believers that God redeems bad circumstances for good."
