This weekend we studied Hebrews 5:11-6:12. Hebrews is a book filled with warnings. Just like the original audience we need to be encouraged, comforted, and taught, but we also needed to be warned! Warnings are not meant to keep us from some greater pleasure. Warnings are given for our safety, to protect us from danger, from things that can hurt or even kill us. When we heed God's warnings we experience God’s best as we persevere in the faith and live with the full assurance of God's love, plan, and purpose for our lives.
