The Postscript boys journey back into The Shimmer with their good friend Nick to rewatch Alex Garland’s sophomore directorial effort from 2018, Annihilation. They discuss the parallels between Garland’s and Jordan Peele’s first two films and why audiences left both of their second features less satisfied. They then rewatch Annihilation (31:40) and assess all of its most enigmatic and brain-wrinkling qualities and determine whether or not the film met its ambitions.
