The Lord uses our pain for His plans. In Genesis 50:20, after Jacob’s death, Joseph’s brothers fear that Joseph will treat them with contempt now that Jacob is gone. Instead, he reminds them: “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.”
