Loretta Saunders, a 26-year-old, found herself in an exciting phase of her life. She was enrolled in the criminology program at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Canada. Loretta come from a large and deeply affectionate family, despite her seven siblings living throughout canada. Their bond remained exceptionally tight. Loretta, an Inuk woman from Newfoundland and Labrador, had encountered significant challenges and difficulties throughout her life.
