Ryan Coogler's new film, Sinners, a genre-bending horror movie set in the Jim Crow-era South, is a personal project exploring his family history and the blues. Starring Michael B. Jordan as twins escaping troubled lives, the film features vampires but also other supernatural elements. Hailee Steinfeld plays a key role as Mary, initially appearing as a love interest before transforming into a vengeful vampire antagonist. The movie uses 65mm film and features an immersive soundscape thanks to composer Ludwig Göransson's significant involvement. Sinners is scheduled for release on April 18th.
